Finding a location is one thing, it's quite another to ensure a location shoot goes smoothly.
There are usually permissions to be obtained: from the owner of the property, and often the local authority and the police. For most of the general public, filming or photography in a public area is an unusual event, and both care and patience can often be required when negotiating the right to stage a location shoot. With a film shoot, there is also the problem of finding somewhere to park the ‘circus’.
